Dds filtration In 1965, alfa laval nakskov was established under the name of dds filtration and became one of the pioneers within the area of cross-flow membrane separation. The company operated as the European membrane and membrane filtration facility and expanded the range of available filtration and separation technologies to include ion exchange resins and gas separation. In this period the knowledge within engineering and process development was extended through the sharing of experience on technologically challenging issues. Danish separation systems as Due to a change in strategy, the dow chemical company divested the business in nakskov in 1997. A danish venture company and a number of key employees took over the activities and formed the company danish separation systems as (dss). Dss expanded in 2000 when dss silkeborg as was established to focus on activities within the dairy industry. Alfa laval In september 2002 alfa laval acquired dss. The product centre membranes was established as part of the process technology division. Dss silkeborg were not part of the acquisition and are today operating as an independent company, but with the exclusive rights to deliver alfa laval membrane products to the global dairy industry.
